ENGINEERING LADIES’ DAY (ELD)

Engineering Ladies Day is an annual faculty event aimed at bringing together all female students of the University of Lagos Engineering Society (ULES). this day focuses attention on the amazing careers in Engineering, and allows us to celebrate the female students, enlighten, empower and inspire them to grow up to be great innovators and problem solvers of the next generation. It consists of two sessions; morning educative session and dinner night. The morning session is most likely to hold at the New Engineering lecture Theatre (NELT) and the dinner at the schools Multi-Purpose Hall

ULES ORATOR

ULES Orator is the major active part of the ULES ORATORY and BOOK CLUB, which is involved in the organizational structure of the faculty debate (ULES Debate Championship); a prerequisite to select individuals to participate in the University Debate Championship and also give provides platform for Engineering Students to improve their speaking skills through intellectual engagement (debates), mind enriching books/materials and trainings , cutting all spheres of life, with a major focus on STEM, thereby raising a more sophisticated engineer. This event is most likely to hold at ELT or the New Engineering Lecture Theatre.

ULES SPORTS FESTIVAL

: It is the society's duty to create an environment that allows maximum growth of the Unilag engineer, it is therefore important to organize sporting activities aimed at improving unity and sportsmanship among the society’s members while providing beneficial exercise opportunities. The ULES Sports Festival is to hold at the University of Lagos Sports Centre.

ULES FITNESS PROGRAM

Thinking of joining the fitfam? ULES has got you covered; we all need to keep fit as it is a way of staying healthy. We will be having our fitness program every first and last Saturday of the month. It will consist of yoga exercise and a host of other interesting exercises. Don’t miss out on this opportunity as it is also free!

ULES FACULTY WEEK

: It is an all-inclusive week of enviable synergy amongst all departments of the faculty. Eye-catching costumes at the event on the costume day, we also have the corporate day, jersey/denim day. The traditional day will be the highlight of this week! This serves as an avenue to celebrate the outgoing aka final year students. This will hold in the faculty. It should be a lecture free week by God’s grace!

ULES TUTORIALS

The ULES tutorials consists of all year one and year two faculty courses as well as GEG 301 and GEG 302. ULES believes in academic excellence and we assure ULESites that the courses mentioned above will be well catered for; as well as other courses that ULESites need assistance with. The venue will be communicated by the planning committee.

ULES FACULTY DINNER

The Engineering Dinner and Award Night aka ‘Engrad’ is an event celebrated by the students of the faculty of Engineering. The main aim of this initiative is to recognize notable contributions from students, academic and non-academic staff of the faculty of Engineering, University of Lagos. This is to honor INGENUITY among students and staff alike and in turn encourage healthy competition and positive improvements among them.
